So I’m sure you saw Chloe’s blog here about my adorable puppy Henry. Needless to say he is adorable and such a good puppy which I am thrilled about seeing as I have heard reports that labradors can be a handful. Anyway he is now over 16 weeks old which means we have been able to take him out of the confines of our yard.
A few weekends ago we decided it was time to go for a little walk around one of our local parks (I say ‘one of’ because the area where I live has a park on every corner). He was so excited and looks so handsome in his little harness that we had to take a few happy snaps.
That same weekend we got lucky with some sunny weather so took him to the dog beach. Being a labrador (they even have webbed feet because they are water dogs) we expected him to go nuts for the water and go diving in. Much to our surprise he was a little scared of the waves that were coming in and kept running away from the water.
Anyway it was a lovely little visit, he had a little dig in the dunes and tried to eat so much seaweed. We even managed to coax him into the water with tasty treats and he had a bit of a swim which we were so proud of!
In all it was a very exciting and groundbreaking weekend for young Henry, hopefully with summer well on its way we can have plenty more beach fun in the coming months.
