My family and I recently got back from our first holiday together since we all entered adulthood. We went to a tiny island in Indonesia called Nusa Lembongan Island and it was absolutely magical. It was so amazing to get away with everyone and spend some quality time together, thanks mum and dad for making it all possible!
My first glimpse of the island through the window as the boat pulled in.
Mum and dad arrived on the island a few days before us, you can almost see them waving back to us on shore.
There were so many dogs on the island. They were so happy and content to run around and play with each other and not bother anyone.
We were really lucky and could see Mt Agung peeking out of the clouds almost every day.
Buggy rides around the island were super fun!
Suspension bridge between Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan Islands – these colours inspire me!
Mum and dad called this the Avatar Tree, not sure if this is its real name, but it sure does look like the tree from Avatar! Apparently there is a house below it.
Mushroom Beach, everything was so colourful!
On the last day we took a scooter ride to Nyoman’s Warung and tried their fish in banana leaf. It was the standout meal from the trip and a really great cultural experience. We met Nyoman after the meal and she was the sweetest!
The family minus Ben and Grant.
It was an amazing trip filled with lots of relaxation, quality family time, yummy food, beautiful people and fun adventures. Lembongan Island, we will definitely be back!
