February Goals

In my aim to set goals month-by-month this year I thought it would be a good time to reflect on how I went in January before setting new goals for the month ahead.

Complete 30 Days of Yoga

I’m still working away at finishing this one off as I was sick for about two weeks in January. I’m feeling much better now and am gradually completing each yoga routine with about 10 or so to go. Usually at this point I would give up because I did not reach my goal by the desired time, but it feels more positive to keep going despite this and I don’t think it is by any means a failure.

Write five blog posts this month
I wrote 10 posts in January, so I definitely completed this goal! It doesn’t end there though, as I want to keep this up for as long as I can. I’ve really enjoyed getting back into blogging, especially the creative surge I get each time I post something.

Plan our engagement party
I still have until late February to complete this goal, but party plans are going well. I have decided on a menu, sent out the invites and figured out how I want to set the table. I’m super excited to celebrate with G and our loved ones. I’ll be posting about this all once the party is done and dusted!

Cut down on social media time
I’ve been making conserted effort to not use my phone before bed over the past month, which has helped me cut back on social media time a great deal. Over the next month I will be focussing on cutting it out in the morning as well, I tend to spend about 20 minutes a day lying in bed catching up on Facebook and Instagram before getting up. It certainly is a big time waster as I could be doing more useful things, like yoga! I’ll chip away at this one over the next few months and hopefully get down to checking just once a day.

Now on to the month ahead!

Complete the Blog Life e-course by A Beautiful Mess

I bought this e-course about six months ago and have completed a few of the modules, but it has been sitting on the back burner for some time now and I really would like to get it completed and focus on implementing what I learn right here! I’ve given myself until the start of June to complete this one, I think it is a realistic goal, what with wedding planning and all.

Regularly get 8 hours of sleep a night

This is a really tough one for me. I tend to have a spurt of energy right before bed and I stay up way later then I should, resulting in 5 to 6 hours sleep a night. I definitely need more sleep than this so I am making it a goal to at least get 8 hours sleep each week night by April this year. It will take time and effort to make this routine, but I think it will be well worth it.

Finish sewing the Sassy Librarian Blouse

I bought this sewing class ages ago and it is time to get it of my to-sew list. It’s super cute and I would like to wear it before summer is over so I’ve made a pledge to finish it by March 29. Wish me luck!

Eat 5 vegetables a day

This month is a bit of a self-love month. I’ve not been eating the best lately and I really want to focus on getting more veggies into my diet. I plan to up my quota by bringing more salads to work and eating all of my vegetables before I reach for a sweet treat!

I think setting goals month by month is really going to work for me. I’ve already seen some great results and I am pumped to continue. I’m interested to hear how you like to set goals and if you have any tips and tricks for people like me!
